Ogbe-Irete: the Awo wins

Ifa says there is a person now
that is being considered for a new position.
Ifa says that this person is totally unsuitable
for that kind of job, that kind of work:
on account of his character he is
utterly unsuitable for the job.
Nothing good is to be expected from him,
on the contrary: in many ways
only bad can be expected
from this person in this job.
Ifa says that this person
is neither stupid, silly nor uneducated,
but unfortunately unable of critical reflection
on their own wants and opinions.
This person is a born manipulator.
Ifa says that this particular person
will never be satisfied, but always
will want ore, much more.
And, Ifa says, this person will not
direct all their energies towards
whatever it is they should do,
but waste it all on
things and thangs, bits and bobs,
and work will suffer.

"While they wish him to die inside the forest
he was busy erecting mansions.
While they wish his corpse to rot away without
receiving a decent burial,
he kept on accumulating expensive dresses.
As they wished him to live a lonely life
without anyone to assist him,
he was mounting female horses
after dismounting male horses".
Those were the ones who cast Ifa for Orunmila,
on the day that he lived in anticipation of
the evil machinations of his enemies.
They instructed him to sacrifice.
Orunmila obeyed and made the sacrifice.
An Awo's enemies have now become a well boiled yam;
With great enthousiasm will Ifa consume them all,
with great enthousiasm and with relish.
An Awo's enemies have become a well cooked
yanrin vegetable; with great satisfaction
will Ifa consume them all,
with great satisfaction.
